As a Registered Nurse and family caregiver with a Ph.D. in human services, Dr. Eboni I. Green specializes in health care administration. She co-founded Caregiver Support Services with her husband in 1997 to provide training and support for families and frontline direct caregivers.

Dr. Green loved providing direct care but wanted to reach more people. She chatted with us recently about self-assessments for caregivers and other aspects of her rewarding profession.

Assess Your Situation 

Measure your capacity and stress level as a caring individual. Before we can make a truly efficient plan we must assess our current situation.  

Develop A Plan 

The first thing one should do in developing a plan of action is to get organized.  

Implement Your Plan 

Your plan will not happen by itself. In order to see changes and meet the challenges that are associated with caregiving, you must take the necessary steps to keep moving forward.  

Take Care of YOUrself 

Developing and following through with your plan will certainly help you cope with stress. Take time for yourself and do the things you enjoy and respect your health.
